"My 80 year-old Mom needed to move from Florida to New York near my wife and I.  But first we needed to sell her Naples home, a tough task in Florida's slow 2007 market.  I was ready to lower the price several times over 6 months, which could have made Mike a quick, easy commission.  But he advised to lower the price very gradually and await an emotional buyer, i.e., someone who bonded with the house, not a financial buyer looking for a bargain.  Mike was right.  The senior woman who bought my mom's house is now cared for by her daughter down the street - clearly an emotional, not a financial buyer.
